Can someone help me out in diagnosing what kind of leak / issue I have?
There is oil collecting on the bottom of the gear box cover on the rear right side...
Please see pics. I'm not sure if that is gear oil, or hydraulic oil, can I get some suggestions on what to check from here?
I'm able to take it back to the dealer if need be but hoping this is something simple and I am not terribly knowledgeable about this tractor.
Thanks in advance.

Looks to be the gasket between the two housings. How much mechanical skill do you have? Look at some parts diagrams and download the service manual to get an idea of what needs to be removed.

It wouldn’t be gear oil and the rear end is shared with the transmission/hydraulic fluid. Clean it off to be 100% sure where it’s leaking from.

not bad on small stuff but this might be a bit more than my old neck and back can handle...
I cleaned it off real good to see where it is coming from. I wasnt lucky enough for it to be the little drain plug there

You could try to just tighten those bolts up and see if any are loose. That may resolve it but it might be a leak above that area.

Looks like a difficult spot to see where the leak really is originating from.

I would clean the whole area with brake cleaner. Then look at where the leak is coming from.

Something like a baby powder can help pinpoint where the leak is after cleaning it off.

There is (probably) a sight glass on the rear of the transmission case. That will show the fluid level but may be hard to see. The oil is nearly clear yellowish and the sight glass is hopefully bright white. John Deere does make a dye to add but use it sparingly (I hear).

You would use a UDT fluid hopefully the newer version SUDT2 is what you can get. They sell it in 5 gallon pails and 2 gallon plastic containers. They may seem it in smaller quantities but I don’t know for sure.

As Russell said, there's a sight glass. That fluid lubricates everything but the engine, front axle and miscellaneous external points. It is the hydraulic fluid for the 3ph and any hydraulic attachments. If you don't have an Operator Manual, you can download one from KubotaBooks. It has the service interval, lubricant, and the procedure. If you have loader or backhoe, they probably require grease every 10 hours.
