Last week, diesel was $3.30/gal…. this week it’s $4.39/gal locally

I bought gas at $2.39 five days ago…but today the same station is $2.99.

It’s a mystery.

This morning Hwy diesel is up to 3.79 a gal here in Gilmer Tx

diesel here is 1.99 per liter ! last week it was $1.56 .

1.99 per liter is about 8$ cdn per US G, so $6.60 US$ per US G

Last I bought ORD was June 2025 at $3.09 / gal. Used about 50 of those 150 gallons so far.

Regular gas was $2.77 last week at Costco and $3.08 yesterday. Drove past stations that had regular at $3.49 on the way home last night.

Was at a trade meeting this morning. When I got there I was talking to a friend about the price of oil. We checked,it was $84 and change per barrel. I just checked and it is over $90 per barrel now. Over six dollars in six hours.
Looks like $5.50-6.00 diesel fuel is in our future.

it's too bad we ( can and USA ) don't have any oil under our feet we could use ,instead of having to pay World prices .

Most U.S. oil is being produced at record rates, but a lot is sold on the world market as exports. Regardless, oil prices are established by the worldwide market. A U.S. oil company isn’t going to sell domestically for less than market price.
