OEM Mechanical Thumb wont adjust...

Having trouble adjusting the mechanical thumb on a new BX23S. Should just be able to remove the pin, push back the thumb and reinsert the pin into the other hole to keep the thumb out of the way when digging, but even with the pin out the thumb wont go back. Not sure what I'm doing wrong here.

This video confirms how easy it should be, but isn't happening on mine.

Have you tried a bigger hammer?

Have you moved it before?

If not, maybe it's painted in?

I think it was the thick factory paint. Ended up removing the pin and just worked the thumb back and forth on an old tree stump to loosen it up. Initially tried to loosen it with a dead blow hammer but was unsuccessful. The tree stump worked perfectly.
