no stop cable!

Hi all,

Purchased a grey (gray) market B1200DT with D750 engine. 1980's and 500hrs on the clock. Working nicely but one odd thing - it does not have a stop lever on right, only a decompression lever on left. Dealer told me it was ok to stop it using decompression. Works but not so sure this is the best way and could cause problems long term.

Anyone know if it is meant to have a stop lever and if so, can you suggest a replacement part and give install tips e.g. what does the cable attach to?

Unfamiliar with the B1200 but seeing that it has the same motor as the B7100 and is in the same time frame, try doing what you do to the b7100.
The throttle lever will pull back to a stop, Idle, and if you pull a little harder it will override a spring and cut the fuel feed and stop the unit.
If it hasn't been used in a while it might be real stiff.

The dealers an idiot as that's the #2 worst thing you can do to these tractors, #1 would be using Ether / Starting fluid.

If that works or not check back in.

I have the shut off lever on my L245DT but I also found out that lifting the foot throttle will also shut it off.
