I was using my tractor this morning with no problems. I stoped and shut it off for about 1/2 hour and when I went back to it, it would not start. No lights or any indication of power from battery. The battery has 14volt. I have checked the inline fuse, all fuses in the fuse box and the 3 fuses below the steering wheel. Does anyone know of another place that I can be loosing a connection?

FIRST - double-check all the safety-switches. This is most-likely the problem.

If necessarry -- Easy to troubleshoot with a voltmeter.
  1. Clip black meter-lead to BATTERY(-) POST
  2. Red meter-lead on LARGE connector on starter
    • Expect this to ALWAYS be battery-voltage
    • Try to crank engine and record voltage
  3. Move red meter-lead to SMALL wire on starter
    • This should only be battery-voltage during cranking
    • Try to crank engine and record voltage
  4. Move red meter-lead to engine-case
    • Should always be 0mV at all times
    • Anything more than 50mv should be corrected
    • Try to crank engine and record voltage
Continue to troubleshoot from there using successive-approximation to isolate the fault.

Clean the battery terminals and connectors and tighten securely after replacing. Inspect carefully for any corrosion in the cables or connectors. That may not be it but it's always a good starting point. Check the fuses with an ohmmeter. Sometimes they look good but they're not. Of course it could be a bad connection at the ignition switch or even a bad ignition switch. Track the power in and out.
