Hi, new to Kubotas but have been eyeing them from afar for some years.

I'm interested in a Kubota for some loader & excavation work (box blading etc) but no mowing.

Locally there's a B7500 HSD for sale. It's got an aftermarket/non Kubota FEL and it's got 1000 hrs. Not orig owner and he knows nothing regarding prior maintenance on this machine.

What do I need to look at when I inspect?
What would pricing be for something in great, average, and poor condition?
How many years does Kubota support tractors with parts?
Assuming the worse in terms of fluid & filter changes on this, with 1000 hrs. what kind of wear could the tractor have sustained?

He's also got a B2400 (I believe HSD) with similar hours for the same $. Any reason to choose one over the other?

Anything else I should be considering?

Thanks, wep

I have a B7500 and just love this bugger to death. When I bought my last June/July it had 775 hours. It now has 830 hours. It came with the Kubota 272 FEL, A Rhino 48" bush hog, Canopy, and 48" box blade. It has couple year old tires on it already. I got mine through the local Kubota dealer and they service out the fluids and filters. Sometime I think I gave too much but after being on the forum think I gave about right at $8k. Any and the couple of parts I have need are still available through the dealer or you can go to Messick for parts. This tractor is a simple but great tractor. It does not have a glow plug timer circuit so I am the timer, so there will be no timer failures. I has a manual fuel; shut off so no failures on the fuel relay. I has no compression release but starts with easy each and every time. Warm it up with the glow plugs and starts right up. Did have to replace the alternator or Magneto bearings at about 820 hours but also have a spare one now. This tractor is HST and has power steering too. I also run a 48 King Kutter tiller with ease. Again just love this tractor. I think the B2400 has more HP but the 7500 has never failed me. I at time wish for more power but that is low on my list of things and the 21 HP has done it all. This tractor for 13 years old was taken care of and shows it and now lives in my AC and heated shop. It has never been so happy.

I owned a B7500 / HST / LA302 Loader for 10 years. It could have used a few extra horses when the grass was thick, or going uphill mowing, or.... If given the choice and they were similarly equipped and in good shape I'd pick the 24 B2400.

I sold the B7500 and bought a new L3200 almost a year ago and absolutely love the bigger tractor. Mine gets used mostly for yard mowing. Going with the L3200 allowed me to use a 6' RFM more effortlessly than the 5-footer on the B7500.
