Look at this HIDEOUS BEAST . 1975 Cushman Truckster. It has a 4ft dump body with hydraulic dump, 540 PTO out the rear . 2speed rear end, 3 on the tree with a foot clutch. It runs just needs some tinkering. I needed a grass safe utility vehicle for home and camp. Was going to just get a golf cart but what fun is that?

That is much cooler than a golf cart! All that needs is some love. Nice find.

Everything works on it. Engine ran a little rough and gas tank was leaking and battery cables were arcing, lol not a good combo but I fixed a few things already. Somebody put a new alternator and starter in not very long ago. Drivetrain is built more like a 70s car than a golf cart. Its got a bellhousing with clutch and a mini muncie looking trans with a pto bolted to the side of it.

THAT is a MUCH sweeter rig than my 48V golf cart!

That said: Sure hope the engine needs nothing, because some Onan parts can be difficult to find, and for SURE, ALL are VERY expensive!
Actually its an OMC engine, like from the boat world..lol not good. Some parts are still available. It runs and doesnt rap or knock. Its my understanding this engine was specifically made for these machines.

I love it ! ! !

Have never seen a Cushman mini bike, hauler or really (anything) in the flesh, but they're all over the internet I guess.

I watched a youtube video from mustie1 where he worked on one and turned it into a paddy wagon. (at least i think it started out as a Cushman)

Very cool rig. It screams to want a canopy or even a roll bar but otherwise, it's retro and will fill your needs I think.

Its a 3 wheeler so a Roll bar wouldnt be a bad idea. That front wheel turns near 90 degrees making it very maneuverable

Great find!
Had a chance to buy one of those a few years back, but it was missing a bunch of parts, & it didn't run.
It was just too much work, and I was a little leery of that single wheel up front, as I have some steep spots.
Looking forward to updates as you square it away. :)

Facebook marketplace. Guy wanted 5000 dollars for it..lol and was listed for many months. And he kept listing it for less and less so i offered him $500. He took $700 and met me helf way.
It was te typical."needs nothing but a driver" bullsh*t. Shows up leaking gas, arcing off the battery because the battery cable had broke and vice grips holding it on the post..lol

The things on he sides are cooling air intake ports. The engine takes up the entire space under the seat.

I'd give $700 for that all day long.

You got a great deal IMO.

Nice catch! Had to search around to see what they included a pto for :)

Reminds me of my '61 Willys CJ-5, has the pto winch on front and some of them had a aux pto on the rear for implements, along with a 3pt hitch. I see cushman did that too!

Motion - I’m thinking you’re going to like playing with that! Looks in pretty decent shape.

They were common at schools, golf courses, etc. back in the day as I recall.
