New (used) Kubota Owner

Good Morning All

I just bought my first tractor (2000- LS2500) and am very happy with it. The previous owner ran me through all of the fluid points but I was too excited to drive the tractor so forgot most of what he told me. I was hoping I could learn what specific fluids I need for;
Deisel engine oil
Hydraulics
transmission and anything else I might need.

UDT or Universal Drive Train oil covers both the transmission and hydraulic system. And as far as engine oil I'd go with something like Shell Rotella-T or any engine oil thats labeled for diesel use. The Shell Rotella works well in all engines gas or diesel and I'd go with a heavier 15-W40 blend with an engine that has alot of hours on it.

The great thing about these oils is you dont have to spend alot of money on them. You can find what you need at Wal-mart or a local auto parts store.

Hey Thanks Eric. The tractor has about 600 hrs on it and the dealer I spoke with yesterday recommended that I use 10W30 motor oil if I intend to use it in the winter - which I do?
