hey guys I got a 98 TG1860g for a good price, my question is about the hydrostatic on this. when go forward and let off the pedal it still goes forward at pretty good pace. Should it come to a complete stop when I let off the pedal or is it normal to keep going till I go "back" then it stops. My dads Cub cadet fully stops when the pedal is not pushed. I adjusted the "natural" position with the tractor jacked up, and stops fairly well when I have it jacked up. Im stumped , not sure if that's normal or not. thanks.

Nope not right, something is either binding in the linkage or it has a bad part that's holding it on. ;)

I have the TG1860 diesel. Not sure if the transaxle is the same but mine stops the moment you release the foot control.
