New to me L48, clutch use.

Hi,
I just purchased a l48 loader back hoe, and have a question on operation. I have found multiple threads on hst clutch operation, on different models but none specific to this tractor. So on a L48 do you use the clutch for starting, shifting, 4x4 changes as well as pto engagement?

We have a 2009 M59, the next size larger TLB from yours. I use the clutch for starting only. We don't use the PTO. The M59 also has the high-low range for the rear axle, which I shift on the fly. For the rest I come to a stop, move the lever or nob as needed, and continue on with the work at hand.

Its also easier to shift LOW-MED-HI range with the clutch
