I have this new to me mower (gr2110) which works great other than the 2 arm which are intended to lower to attach the mower "won't" unless I pry them down by hand with leverage from a wood dowel or shovel handle. Once connected to the mower it operates up and down well...not connected it is as if the hydrates have insufficient force to move them self without load.

Is this an issue with pimp/ fluid type/ level/ air in system
..or just the fact the pistons are "stiff" and will always be like that? (machine is diesel and has 149 hours.

Sat for. Year before I got it). Thanks in advance for input. J

The lift needs weight to work, it's only a one way system, power to lift gravity to lower.

If with the deck attached it's not lowering then something is binding.
If the deck is off, then yes you will have to help the arms come down in order to hook up the deck.

I don't know about mowers, but on a tractor the 3 point will lower without the tractor running. Try lowering the mower without the engine running. If the mower will go down without the engine running then you should be able to lower the arms without the engine running.
