I just purchased a Kubota MX5200. My question is it makes a clicking noise when I turn the key to the on position prior to starting. I think this is normal as I have heard it on other MX’s. I guess I am more curious on what is making the noise? I thought it might be glow plugs but when the light turns off noise it still there.

It also makes the same noise for about 5 to 10 seconds after turning tractor off. Is this normal?

Yes, it's normal. It is a small solenoid type fuel pump that sort of primes the fuel system.
