Ride it hard, and put it away wet. Mine has not flinched at the abuse yet. Forks are key.

This photo is what inspired me to get forks for wood cutting. Plus, they could be used on my father's Grand L when I go out to their place and cut wood. Lol.

Picked up my new L2501 HST yesterday with SSQA loader, 5' Box blade and quick hitch. My best friend asked me to stop on the way home to move a concrete table for him, so that's the first work it did.

Forks arrive today.

I upgraded from a BX2380 because I wanted more loader capacity. I already put 2 hours on it grooming my trails.

Forks are awesome. Read the manual. For instance mine doesn't want the operator to max engine RPM until 50 hours. If you run all work lights you should be at 2200RPM or greater....little things like that.

Get a daily checklist together that you will actually do. Radiator grill, quick fluid check ( coolant, oil, hydraulic), function check. Consult the manual, then put together a quick list and tape it to the tractor!

If you plan on lifting much, rear ballast is important. Lots of options here. Congrats on the new machine and enjoy. Man I love tractors!

Forks are mandatory. They do most of the work at my place. In fact, I leave the forks on it and only put the bucket on when I need it.

Now I want a grapple, but that's a minimum of $2400 for made in USA....

Once you get a grapple it will stay on it most of the time... ;)

I meant the total WITH the 3rd function valve.

I got everything for about $1650 after shopping around.

Grapple was $900 from skidsteerattachmentdepot.com (they changed the hydraulic couplers for free to match the 3rd function kit I ordered) and the Landpride valve kit was sourced from eBay for about $750.

The grapple is "made in USA" from their website. If it's crap, I'll report back. The valve kit is a known quantity from Landpride, so no problem there.

I will say that the communication from the grapple manufacturer was beyond excellent. Hopefully, the device is just as great.
