Just picked up an new one today for mx BX 2360. Just asking how to secure the screw downs? Is there a large flat washer only or is there a rubber washer to help make the tabs last better?

What is the cover below that called? The plastic wrap around gril.
What precautions can be done to protect those flimsy securing tabs? I have so far gripped it with a large rubber washer under a large flat washer.
And what is the use of the foam pads they sold me with this plastic grill? They don't seal anything so i guess for vibration?
