The Tractor started and then smoke came up from Regulator under dash panel. I want to unhook the dynamo and the regulator and start the tractor just long enough to self load on a trailer. Is this possible and safe?
Thanks for your help.

sure......... you do not need the dyno once started, it only charges the battery and lights - unhook the two leads that come to the regulator - start it and drive on.
