Replacing clutch pack for pto on my Bx24d,
When I split transmission a ball and spring fell out of the bottom. They look like the ones in the detent for the PTO selector fork but they are still in and so are the ones in the 4 wheel drive selector. I have looked through every transmission diagram I can find and see no other place for them, anybody have any ideas where they came from. Bought tractor new in 2007, never had it apart any help would be appreciated.

They may have come from the original assembly at the factory and a lazy or heavily-pressured assy-line worker simply grabbed another and finished the job knowing it’d cause no problem.
