I usually just buy a new battery based on what was originally in there. My tractor will sit for weeks without running, so I typically keep it on a tender most of the time. I find that does more for longevity than trying to figure out what battery is made where and how good it is. Most of it is marketing hype.

I have found that the Walmart Everstart MAXX is the best bang for the buck!
I keep a battery maintenance charger hooked up.
I have a lotta batteries!

Same here. All my stuff is hardwired for a battery tender.

My 23-year old Sabre lawn tractor (manufactured by John Deere) is on it's 4th battery (including original) and there is an Everstart from Wal-Mart in there now; about 7 years old and still going strong, The Everstart is the longest-lasting battery I've had in there yet, and it's pretty hard to beat Wal-mart for convenience and warranty. I maintain it by attaching my Noco Genius battery conditioner once or twice a year, usually in the fall before storage and in the spring preparing for the season. Everstart for the win! :)

Unless you have an alternative use for your NOCO, there is no need for alternating hookups.
It is designed to not overcharge a battery while remaining continuously hooked up.

If you have made it 8 years with the original battery, I would replace with the same battery.

My original battery in my 2014 L3200 is cranking very slow. I'm replacing it this week. Can't gripe about the longevity of this battery. Anybody know who makes the batteries for Kubota? Hat's off to them! Kubota dealer is just 8-9 miles down the road.

I went with Rural King for my replacement battery in the B1700. Starts great. I do use a battery tender in the off months since she sits for a long time. The B3200 has whatever came from the dealer in it still.

Just replaced the 2011 OEM battery in my Toyota Corolla.
Only 11-1/2 years since new.
They just don't make batteries like they used to. :ROFLMAO:

Man, a guy can't complain about that for sure.
I just replaced my battery in my 2016 Indian motorcycle last year. How a battery can last that long from the heat of a V-Twin air cooled engine I'll never know. It's located right behind the rear cylinder. Replaced it with a OEM battery... hopefully repeat it's performance.

The dual batteries in my Ford diesel truck died in just 11 years, 3 months. I replaced them with batteries made by East Penn, I have had good luck with their brands.
