Good day orange tractor talk, i would like to introduce to you my new to me Kubota 2012 L4600DT.

I bought Katie the Kubota tractor a couple of weeks ago and started the cleaning, servicing, and adding features that I felt were needed.

She was owned by a young man that thought it better to have a new truck than her. She had 178 hours on her and had been looked after well just not many baths so that was first priority.

To date:
- Changed oil and air filter
- Washed and waxed- 3 days
- Added tool box to replace tiny one that came on it
- Added hooks to FEL
- Made floor mat from an old anti fatigue mat
- Install clevis hook on draw bar
- Installed two bolts to prevent ROP from rattling

I am currently building a box from lexan to store chain in.

I am a little OCD, so each tool that goes in the tool box has orange electrical tape wrapped around it so I will know what should be in the box. See a tool on the work bench with tape know it is out of place....

I'll post more pics as the process develops.

Thanks for looking.

Jay

Thank you, I will take a pic of it and post. I removed the "tiny" one and made a bracket that would support the new tool box and then mounted bracket and box in place of the old one. It is a Kennedy tool box I had that was not being used.

I have a sick 2 year old so I will get a pic soon as I can.

Thank you and yes I have been looking in my area for 2 years for a L3800 or L4600 and finally found this one in the price range I had in mind. Only 10 miles from my house.

If you work around brush etc., you'll probably want to add better front protection, some of us have learned the hard way.

Congrats on the nice find! :D I recently found a 2011 B3200 with FEL and BH with only 78 hours. I gave it a bath and 2 step polish/wax and it looks like showroom floor new.

Here it is, after work I can take pics of the inside and bracket as to how it is mounted.

Here is how I mounted it, the bracket is a piece of fiberglass material that was scrap at work that holes were already drilled in it, I had to add required holes. The threads are 8mm and one 10mm that were in the angle already used for the tiny tool box.

I chose the material because it was light weight and spanned nearly the full depth of the box to provide support. I removed the tools from it for the picture but full of misc. items it still is rigid feeling. My 30 pound daughter has sat on it!

Hope this helps and be glad to asnwer more questions or provide more pics.

Jay

New here and have a question for you. I have only figured out how to attach pics in a thumbnail not like you have above so someone looking can see pic without opening it.

Can you help please?

I use Photobucket the copy and paste the link, I don't care for the small thumbnail images.

Once you have attached the image file, you will see a link to your image under "attach files". Right click on that link as select "copy link location". So in the case of this post, I attached an image and the link location is: http://www.orangetractortalks.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=24912&stc=1&d=1476333291

Now, at the top of the edit window is a yellow mountain icon to "Insert Image". Click on that and past your link location in the pop-up box. Now the full size image will be inserted in your post, like so:
