My mx6000 cruise lever will not hold the pedal at speed. It just goes back to nothing. It seems like the lever has lost tension. I glanced under but it was 97 degrees out and I really didnt see how to tighten it.

Anyone else ever have this issue? Its still under warranty but I hate to haul it in for something simple. Thanks.

Look and see if this spring is still in place.

Looked at it today. Spring is in place. Looks a the damper lost its charge. Its the part with the silver label in my pic.

Hard to tell from picture, pretty sure that is the HST damper. Cruise linkage is sorta above and behind.

I was thinking the cruise would be tightened the same as 3 point. Double nuts and some nylon washers. I can seem to find anything that looks like that on the parts breakdown. Keep us posted, mine is loose too.

Its still under warranty, so I am going to call them tomorrow and see. From the diagrams it looks like their is a cruise control wire that I dont recall seeing on mine. I wonder if they updated it with the damper? I didnt spend much time looking at it, but I am pretty certain the cruise lever worked that damper. I will post up what I find out. The cruise lever works, it just wont hold the position.

Got it fixed. I got under it today and took my time looking at how it worked. I must have taken a stick into the spring shown in the picture. The spring was bent out of shape. I removed the spring, straigtened it the best I could and tightened the "holder" in order to increase the tension. Working for now, but may need a new spring in the future.
