Has anyone heard of a fix for the left door seal. Mine doesn’t seal off which lets a good amount of dust in. It also rattles while moving in high gear. My dealer says their working on it, but it’s been 8 months already. Thanks.
Yea, the latch was the first thing I looked at. It doesn’t have any adjustments that can be made. There are two bolts that screw through the latch and into welded nuts. An adjustment would have been nice. The right door is a different kind of door handle and it seals good. I guess engineering slipped on this design. Thanks for the advice Chim.Is it possible the latch needs some adjustment? That's something so simple the dealer should have tried it. Also, on my L4240 the door will close tightly if I bring it to about 6-8" from closed and then give it a healthy pull. It seems that pulling it from wide open to close it the air trapped in the cab prevents it from closing fully, and it latches on the first of two catches.
I spoke to the dealer yesterday and there is now 6 including mine with the same issue. From the latch down, the weather stripping gets to where it doesn’t seal and by the time it gets to the bottom you can see light from outside. Most of the time I don’t have any problems unless I’m rotary cutting.I have had my MX6000 since May and have not had that issue. The only time I get any dust in the cab is if I get out to do something and don't close the door before I get back in.
Yea the glass is curved. Your right that may be the problem.Haven't a clue as to who makes the doors for Kubota (other than they are expensive to replace) but it could be they were formed incorrectly. My 2002 M9 seals tightly. It's not flat glass, it has a compound curve in it (least mine does).
