I noticed the last time I tried to put it in granny, it was difficult, but went into finally. Tried yesterday, and now it seems stuck and won't shift into granny gear. It doesn't make any kind of grinding noise or anything, the lever just won't move. I didn't want to force it so I thought I would search around and hopefully find a simple solution to fixing it. Thanks

Which gear are you calling granny? Does it shift with the engine off?

Edit. Is yours a gear drive or HST?

Excuse my ignorance, but this is my first full size tractor. The easiest way to describe it is to say it won't go from the rabbit into the turtle. I never tried with it off, I can give that a go this evening.

Good day.

where on machine and which lever is not working for your use? (From perspective of operator in seat and looking forward)

(maybe review owners manual and clarify what really asking…I don’t believe there is a granny gear on MX, at least not as OEM)

The lever is to the left of the seat. It is labeled with a rabbit and a turtle, I assume high and low gear (granny).

When you are trying to move the range gear shift lever, are you completely stopped and using the clutch pedal?

Is the machine currently in gear and you can drive it?

id probably do a couple things:
1. Put all levers into neutral and start anew (follow manual)
2. If still can’t get to the desired gear, I would drive to a location that has a gentle slope, and the come to stop, keep clutch depressed, and try shifting…if no working let machine roll slightly and see if that allows engaging the gear.
3. If still no workee and in warrantee, call dealer.

to me it seems strange if it was working fine and now won’t shift. What was the change point?
