Can someone tell me the Kubota part number for their block heater that fits the MX series? Also, which freeze plug location is the best? TIA.

Part number - 70000-00297

Manufacturer suggest to install in the right side rear freeze plug position.

Some newer models of tractor should have the computer reprogrammed when a block heater is installed. The change has the glow plug control see a different temp sensor to determine glow plug heating time.

Otherwise the computer sees the warm block from the heater and does not provide adequate glow plug time when the engine is inhaling very cold air.

Hi, purchased an almost new MX 5200 earlier this year and was thinking about upcoming winter this week. Do I really need to have computer reprogrammed if I put a block heater in ? Assuming I would have to have machine moved to a dealer to have done. Anyone else installed block heater in similar machine without doing so? TIA
