MX5100 and round bales?

Local guy is getting one in, need to be able to handle 4x5 round bales. Will this tractor handle them?

The loader is rated for about 2400 lbs. Derate it a bit for the extra length sticking out and you'd be good for 1500. A typical 4x5 round bale comes in right around 1000 lbs. Seems like a good machine for that purpose. Enough spare capacity that you won't break anything, but not so huge that you loose maneuverability.

I move them all the time with my L4740. Bale spears would be nice but forks work just fine.

I have no issues moving round bales with my MX4800. I have also moved 4x5 bales with an L3901.

Yep, it'll handle them.
