Started out as a model railroader, decided I preferred building structures and scenery to running trains. Had a bunch of 1:64 tractors and equipment and decided to do a farm.

Paul, that's really neat. Are you g to do some close-up shots? A while back I saw a display that was a whole town with vintage cars.

PS: If the diorama gets too bad, Kaopectate works wonders.

My tractors from that era are a 1953 oliver 77 and a 1950 ferguson to30. Both would make an excellent addition to your model I think.

Thanks, but it's too new for my diorama. I'm trying to stay no newer than 1970, with most of it being from the 50's. I was born in 1950 and left for the Navy in 1969, so that's the era I remember.
Well, Sailor….. switching from a nautical theme to a Farm…. was a sea-change,….

Very convincing birch trees! Well done.

Did you model your railroad in S scale (1:64th) ? Did you carry 1:64th over to your scratch built farm buildings etc being you had the vehicles in that scale?

No, railroad was HO. I am modeling the diorama in 1:64 and have used S scale model railroad figures and structures in places. The barn and the house are actually HO, but they're big enough that they don't look out of place.

S scale stuff is somewhat unusual and therefore expensive.

That narrated tour amounted to some of t6he best time I've spent on the 'net. It was great. I liked everything, but the Binford tool sign caught my eye. Everything looks so real, and the weathered steel roof was a nice touch. Thanks!

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it!

I try to hide little jokes in scenes here and there just to see if people notice.
