The skeeters have been so bad this year we couldn't set on the deck in the evenings. I did a search and found a recipe for a mosquito deterrent.

Paul Harvey's recipe for mosquito deterrent.
> 3 bottles of (cheap) beer
> 3 cups Epsom salt
> 1 bottle of blue mint mouth wash. (Walmart)
Mix all ingredients in a large bowl and stir until the Epsom salt is dissolved.
Pour into a spray bottle and spray your outside sitting area. Deck, patio etc.
Supposed to last 60 to 80 days.

It's been 5 days since I sprayed the deck for mosquitoes with that concoction. We've seen only 2 since then. Keeping our fingers crossed.:)

Wonder if it would work on millipedes. I'm loaded with them.

So you only drink three beers before you spray?

I guess that's a safety thing. :p

Any more and you won't feel'em bite. :D

I've been having good luck with a propane insect fogger. Sounds like a good idea, someone I talked to recommended building bat boxes to attract bats to your property since they eat a bunch of mosquitos.

As I've said before, a 12 gauge with bird shot works very
well when they are bad. I've had a lot of rain this year and
no mosquitoes. I'm certainly not complaining either

I was working in the lawn this afternoon and the skeeters and biting flies were worse than in the UP of Michigan last week - and the mosquito is the state bird of the UP.
