Hopefully somebody with knowledge of your model will answer soon.

The older models were tricky because the tractor FEL required an extra frame to handle the FEL load (as you probably already know). This looks like it has most of the frame parts but there may be more needed for the lower parts that this mounts on.

That seems like a really great price for a loader. The dealer cannot provide any information for you? For that price, I would be inclined to take a chance on it. With your shop experience, crafting a sub-frame (if needed) would be a simple affair to weld up between hard points on your machine. The key is finding out where this attach points are.

Tractor Data shows 1900 psi as your working pressure. Your flow rate on that machine is half of what my machine has, which will affect how your FEL operates. Not sure if that is going to give you much lifting capacity. Plus, if yours is 2WD, you are going to get stuck, even on flat ground occasionally and you will likely have to add a weight box or implement to balance out. I get stuck with my L3800 frequently in 2WD.

Keep us tuned to what you decide.

rookiefarmer, a word of wisdom....don't post a link of an item for sale if you're interested in purchasing the item. Reason...someone else may be looking for a similar item, and while you're deciding they purchase it!

To answer your question. If you know the loader arms are far enough apart to straddle your tractor, and long enough to reach past the front, all else can be fabricated if you have time, tools, steel and patience (oh, and money).

But then you have to understand I'm a non-conformist rebel!

I believe if man made it man can fix it, and in doing so make it better the second time around.

How much difference is the frame length and width between the L245 and L260? I don't know for a fact, but I bet not much.

As a point of reference I installed a Massey 1246 loader on an L305. All the brackets to attach to the tractor were fabricated. It's the metric bolt cost that got my attention!!

I gathered all the information I could off the net, then drove 400 miles to pick it up. I could find nothing that would bolt up and go without more work then starting with what I got.

Ray,
Thanks for the words of wisdom. I never thought about having problems using an FEL with a 2wd tractor. How bad we talking about here? Complete waste of time and money? Just buy a slip scoop and when I need to move serious amounts of material entice my neighbor with a 6-pack of that expensive imported crap he likes to bring over his ugly green tractor? :D

I'm half tempted to go grab this just so I can say that I have it lol. But if it's a complete waste, I will save my time. Btw, my tractor has 2 sizes bigger tires loaded (by previous owner) and 3 wheel weights per wheel. Don't know If that would make a difference as to how use able a 2wd tractor would be.

RF,

I just bought a 245 2WD with the 1200 loader. I keep a 6ft grader box attached to the back for weight on the back tires and it does OK moving gravel, etc. with the FEL (not as good as 4wd, but it is what it is..) Much better than a dirt scoop. If you need pictures or measurements of the 245 frame mounts to modify the loader for your tractor, let me know, I'll be glad to help you out if I can.
