Mini Skid Steers have caught my eye lately. Looking for some insights on them. Anyone out there have experience with them?

The little ones you stand on? Not much faster than a man with a wheelbarrow. A small skidsteer, that you sit in is handy, especially in tight areas.

I've had quite a bit of experience with a dingo unit. It's one you stand on the back.

They are great for getting into tight places. Low impact as long as the area your working in is dry. And pretty handy as far as clean up is concerned.

Used one for a few years while working for a fence company. Had a bucket and auger for it. Used to leave the bucket on the bed of the trailer I hauled the unit on. When I got done with the auger, I would run it up on the trailer. Switch to the bucket and do all my clean up. Had a quick attach plate, so switching implements was easy, and took less then a minute. :D

My first and only experience with one was a few months ago augering post holes. It was a Dingo with an 18" bit. Tracked. It did what we needed it to do with no issues.

I wouldn't look at it as a machine for high production.. Only something for menial specific tasks like digging post holes or entering restricted space areas. The one I used did not have enough ass to pull a loaded auger but out of the ground. The hydraulics were there, just not enough weight.

That is what I was wondering. On paper they seem pretty good as well as in some videos I have been watching. I would have thought it would have plenty of power too.

I have a ASV RC30 and love it! Works great on turf and is amazing in the snow. The biggest downside is the quick attach is not the same as standard skidsteer attachments. I have never used a stand on mini, but have been told ditch witch is the best. This was from a rental store which is a Toro Dingo dealer.
