Your dealer. Hope you have insurance. The top ain't cheap. I need the upper bonnet (hood) for my newly purchased 2004 M9. The previous owner had a Mallox moment and rolled something out of the bucket (I suspect a round bale) and dented it.. Been looking for a hood for a while now. Found one on Flea Bay in Maine for 400 bucks and adding in shipping, I could almost buy a new one (Coleman wants $770 bucks) so I'm going to pull it this winter and have the local body shop repair it and get new decals and call it good.

Don't know the exact price of the lid but I bet it's at least a grand.

Think I'd call your dealer and have him deal with it. I know my other M9 (I have 2) is a cab model and there is a lot of stuff (electrical) up there.

1400 is pretty steep for a blow moulded plastic top but after I just paid 175 bucks x 2 for new tie rod ends I can understand the price. Do I accept it as a good value, certainly not but it is what it is.

I am curious as to how it came off. Mine is held on with a number of screws through the roll cage. If I remember correctly, there are 8 machine screws that secure it.

Puts me in mind of the time I was stupid and left the drivers side door open and hooked it on a fence post. The glass exploded and I was left with a handle 2 hinges and a rubber gasket and a pile of glass. That stupid moment cost me $997 and change. My deductible on my farm policy is a grand so I ate the glass. Needless to say I make sure the door is closed now.

Every other screw in the headliner holds that top on and it ripped every nut that that screws into that fiberglass top out of it. It was crazy. We were driving it home after baling hay. A storm rolled in and ripped it off while going down the gravel road

Interesting. Least you can bale hay. My hayfields are all uncut from last year. Just too wet. It's stemy but considering that no one around here has any, it's worth it's weight in gold if I can ever get it off.

10 a small square and 50 a round if you can find it here right now.
