Last summer we had a small chunk of rock get stuck in the solenoids that control the hydrostatic forward and reverse leaver. It made it impossible to get the tractor to drive forward(it was really fun to drive down the road in reverse). Since then we have been intermittently experiencing issues with power loss when driving forward. Throttle will be up but it seems that there is no push. I can drive faster in Turtle 3 than Turtle 4 at the same throttle.
I have made several observations but are unsure if they are related to this issue or not. Can start in lowest gears and often times(driving down hill helps) can get rid of the issue by slowly upping the gear until it fixes the issue. I have also observed that the issue seems to happen after driving in reverse had higher throttle.
I wondered if there was some sort of damage done when it had a rock stuck in there but nothing seems to be damaged.
Any ideas on what could be damaged or where I should look to see why it seems to have poor hydraulic fluid flow through the drive system.
