Checked the toe on my 7040 today and I need to toe the front end out a little. Spec max is .302 and it was at at .3125. However, I couldn’t get the lock bolt loose to adjust the tie rod ends. I tried going both ways with the nots in case they were LH threads. No go. So I stopped while I was ahead. If anyone has solved this problem, let me know how you were able to break the nuts loose without damaging something. Thanks for the help.

Problem finally solved using a two foot pipe on the wrench to break the lock nut loose.

How are you taking the measurements, i.e. with what tool?

I know the WSM procedure does not mention rotating a wheel and checking again but my M7040 wheels are not perfect as they rotate when looked at in the vertical plane.

You are out by 1/8" according to your measurements.

i used two steel rulers. I made another post this morning. I put the toe in at 1/8 (1/16 each side. very happy with the the results. And yes, I rotated the wheels as part of the final measurement check. Thanks for the reminder though.
