It has snowed and I am getting to use my new M7040 under slippery conditions. The literature says it has a limited slip front axle but at times one front wheel just spins with the tractor stationary as both back wheels are also slipping. Tractor has 15 hrs on it.

Can anyone advise what a normal limited slip should act like.

I have never had a LS axle on a tractor but I have been around some on other heavy equipment. Most of what I've seen in a straight line they normally will pull but if it's turned they are more likely to have one tire spin and the other won't. My 9000 has a diff lock pedal in the floor for the front axle which locks it solid. I've only had to use it once since I bought the tractor.
