Looking at going to a hydraulic top link on the M7040. Problem is, the M7040 link is a Cat 1/2. I’m thinking of going to a knuckle end on the tractor side and just buying a Cat 2 link and using an adapter to go up from the 3/4 to 1 Inch knuckle hole.
Any issues with using a knuckle end? Fit-Rite has a 32 week lead time right now and I need to go ahead and find a good alternative. I would like to have the beefier Cat 2 cylinder for box blade work. If I go with a Cat 1, I would at least want a beefier cycling to avoid overpowering it when backing up.
