M7040 hydraulic system

Hello,

There is a fill point and dipstick at the rear near the three point linkage. Is this for all hydraulics, including front end loader, and third service hydraulic on the loader, or it there a separate tank somewhere. I am assuming the oil to use is the same UDT oil ?

YES that dipstick at rear of tractor checks all hyd & trans oil including power steering.

Yes, Tx Jim is correct. That is your best access to the complete hydraulic system.

If you are going to change the fluid, be sure to read the manual and remove all of the drain plugs. IIRC, there are three.

In the US, my dealer says the hydraulic system should have come filled with Super UDT. And that's what I would use especially if you have the hydraulic shuttle. Not sure if you have the same fuild tradenames in the UK?
