my m6040 seems to charge at low rpm but when baling at around 2000 rpm it will not charge the battery. new alternator plus a new battery all connections good. can anyone advise regulator location,

Regulator is internal to alternator.
The alternator needs to get a trigger signal to turn on. This comes via the key switch and main panel.
Check voltages at 2 pin plug at alternator according to attached procedure.
Check all fuses.

thanks dave i have a manual and have looked at that but i will try again. not sure why at high rpm it doesnt charge, i will check again and get back. it is a oem alternator so it should be okay
