M6040 Valve Adjustment

The manual says check/adjust valves at 800 hours. I'am at 1100. Do i really need to "check/adjust" and has anyone done so?

My M6040 is also at 1100 hrs and I am interested in this info too.

If you don't do it, and have some sort of running issue later on, will you question yourself? If yes, do it. If no, don't.

I've done a fair share of them and almost every one of them is on the loose end of the specification after a few hours of use. Last one I did was a 9540 (V3800DI-T) at 5300 hours it had it's first valve adjustment. Those were REALLY loose. Guy said after adjusting was done, that it had more power and ran smoother.
