M5660 Third Function question

Awesome! Thanks, Dan. I really appreciate you taking the time to give advice. I will eye ball the existing connections to assess whether I can do it. You are right, I would be happier with a couple (or three) dedicated remotes at the 3 point area.

Now I need to get busy putting together a list of hydraulic cylinders, hoses, valves, etc. to see what it will all cost me. Awfully hot right now where I live (NW Arkansas) so I will wait for a cool spell before I get very busy.

Thanks again, Dan. If I can figure out how I will post some before and after pictures of the project, but that will be a while.

Wow - that's minimalist to maximus is one post

I looked at the parts diagrams for the OEM third function kit - pretty messy and hard to determine what goes where. It looks like the valve itself is mounted to the loader subframe mid-tractor.

I will take a picture of what I think is the connection point tomorrow (right hand side of the cockpit and on the loader frame). It has quick connects so to me it looks like simply disconnecting 3rd function hydraulic hoses and connecting hoses that run the 3 point area. That assumes that I go with my minimal approach.

Here is the parts diagram for the LA805 third function kit. It does not show the supply and return lines from the tractor but they are obvious in your picture. To add a remote valve:

1. Remove the hose from the T port on the third function valve and connect it to another hose going to the P port on your new valve.
2. Run a hose from the PB port on your new valve back to the T port on the third function valve.
3. Run a third hose from the T port on your new valve to any tank return.

That adds your new valve to the power beyond loop immediately after the third function - same as factory remotes
