IMHO you will need to R&R rockshaft housing to loosen set screw(key-090) in order to remove shaft from arm(key-060) plus I think arm will not remain in correct location when shaft is R&RThinking I can slide a dummy shaft in as I slide out the broken one and then push the dummy out with the new shaft. Just don't want part 60 to fall out of place.
Do not think that will work.yes, snapped off one side. I carry a very heavy cutter. Thinking I can slide a dummy shaft in as I slide out the broken one and then push the dummy out with the new shaft. Just don't want part 60 to fall out of place.
You have to remove the three-point cover to replace the rock shaft. Also, there are timing marks on the shaft, both of the lift arms and #60 that have to be lined up, and there is that set screw.yes, snapped off one side. I carry a very heavy cutter. I have R & Red the lift cover on many Ford tractors and always needed a helper to lift off and replace.yes, snapped off one side. I carry a very heavy cutter. You have to remove the three-point cover to replace the shaft. Removing the PTO to remove the bolt is a moot point as you have to aline the timing marks on the new shaft and the hub the bolt screws into. The hub and the lift arms have timing marks to provide proper orientation.Does anyone know if you remove the PTO and reach the set bolt in the hydraulic arm splined around the arm shaft? I know it is possible on some tractors. thanks
