My M 100 does require a lot of cranking in order to start

sometimes in the summer ( never in winter ) i have noticed when the tractor is parked not at level this happens , i have to crank it a whole lot to get it going , this problem is only noticable in summer . I keep a regular maintenance adding fuel conditionner regularly and checking water separator .

any advice someone

Strange it does it during warm weather and not in the cold.

I assume you have looked the fuel lines over to make sure none are leaking or swelled up.

A friend of mine turned me on to this with his JD tractors. As he checks the oil and such doing a walk around inspection he will hit the primer pump a few times then get in the cab and fire them up. Now these are older tractors (4440,4640) but it makes a huge difference on how fast they start.

Not saying it will make any difference for you but if it did that would make me think it's loosing it's prime so to speak. Could be a bad check valve or something simple like that.
