I am trying to adjust the suspension seat on my LX4020. I unscrewed the adjusting lever completely off the seat. I weigh 200 pound and still can not get to seat to move up and down. The springs are completely loose. Is there any other adjustment that will free the seat to move up and down.

With the springs loose, the seat is down. It takes spring tension to raise the seat off of the stop bumpers.

I would think the pivot points that allow the seat to move up or down are corroded and won’t move.

spray all the pinned pivots with a good rust removal penetrating oil of your choice (Kroil, Mouse milk, PB Blaster…) and try to get it moving. Putting the springs back on and putting tension on them may help to get them to move up since I would assume the seat suspension is completely compressed and needs to move up and then move down but getting it to move a little bit in either direction is very helpful in getting it t move fully in both directions.

I believe that you could remove the seat and suspension hardware to make it easier to work on and break it loose.

The LX 4020 has 7 hours on it. The seat is at its highest position. It will not move down. It could be defective. There is no rust or corrosion.

Sorry I didn’t understand that it was full up.

With that few of hours I would see if the dealer would replace the seat or repair it quickly.

But something is keeping it from moving and it could have been sitting on the dealer lot for some time before you got it so I still think it might be corroded.

Good luck with getting it fixed

Update on Suspension Seat
Removed the Seat Suspension Assembly and gave it to my local Kubota dealer for repair. They were unable to get the seat to move from its highest position. They ordered me a new Seat Suspension Assembly. So much for Quality control.
