As Dan is writing, those are DIVERTER valves, you still need a control valve before them. You do not want to run your PB loop through these.

Thats just the valve. You need plumbing and electrical controls. Therecare a ome kits on ebay or smazon for under $400.Hey Old Hokie,
Am I understanding you right, those 2 pieces together make a third function type valve?
I am looking to add something like that to my 8N on the power beyond port prince valve I already have working.
I have looked at some $300 more or less ones you suggested on another thread too. I just looking for if my thinking is on the right track .
either way thanks for your interesting posts!

If the root cutter has its own open center control valve all you need is a power beyond loop- some hose and a M/F disconnectThanks for the reply. I think I will get one I can handle the electrical and plumbing parts.
Seems like a good price for something I might not get to right away but planning .I want to able to use this with a remote control for my root cutter project. That is an old Hurst rescue cutter I picked up on ebay.
It works good by just bungee the prince valve back . The valve on the hurst works just like a 3rd function bypassing until you move the lever open or close.
Thanks again Dan!

I dont think thats a problem. But shorten those hoses and upsize from tractor to cutter valveI thought about that but I am running it on about 20' of 2, 1/4" hoses for the flexibility, I don't want to have the whole flow thru that all the time so the valve with a remote control would give me the ability to turn it off and on while using and not go back to the tractor.

You got mote heat generation in the b I bungeed valve than the hose. Eliminating it will probably REDUCE the thermal loadThe thing I am trying to accomplish is to cut bigger roots out of our walking trails so the longer hose gives me more flexibility each stop with the tractor.
On a personal side my wife went thru a lot of medical issues this year and this is a project to keep her walking and removing hazards.
I couldn't pass up the price on that valve and plate, about $120 total I ordered them tonight too.
Those Hurst were run on small lines and 5000 psi. I turned up the pressure on the 8N to about 2700 and it does great on roots. The pump I used on the system is rated to 3600 and the prince valve is 3000.
The inlet Outlet at the tool is only SAE 4

I dont think we sre on the same page. What is your third function?I was hoping the 3rd function would accomplish that but maybe heat just moves to that.
Still a mater of convenience with the longer hose and remote control of the 3rd function is less on and off the tractor for this 72 yo arthritic body!

Sorry,@Chanceywd , may I suggest you start your own thread?
You have a different machine, and different questions that this thread is about.
