Just purchased B3200. I have put 20 hours on it so far. While using rotor tiller for about 30 minutes the 3 pt hitch would no longer lift and was making a loud screaching noise. I parked it for about 15 minutes and then tried again. The noise went away and hitch began working. After another 10 minutes of work, problem repeated itself. Adjusted the lowering speed knob to full open and this did not solve the problem. Has anyone else experienced similar problems and what did it take to solve the problem? Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

Hi Colby and welcome to the forum. Have you checked the hydraulic oil level and condition? Filter could also need changed. Start with that.

Hi gurn and thanks for the reply. Yes, the Hyd oil level appears good. As for the condition, the oil appears clean on the dipstick, but I have not drained any of the oil to inspect. I should have mentioned the b3200 is brand new and just now hitting the 20 hour mark. I have not found any leaks. It is currently at the dealer, but my concern is that they won't be able to duplicate the problem, and therefore it won't ge fixed.

Sounds like you can duplicate it by just using it for 10-20 minutes. If they tell you they couldn't reproduce go over there and run it yourself til it does it again then show them. I've had to do that with cars before.

Was the screech fairly constant once it starts and did the pitch change with engine rpm? If so I'd be looking at the pump. I'd be eyeballing the rock shaft otherwise.

Good idea on going to the dealership to duplicate the screaching noise. I will do that if needed. I didn't notice any different pitch, but honestly, as soon as it makes the noise I back off the lever so I only get 1-2 seconds to listen. It doesn't sound like it can be a good thing so I back off. But it is constant for the 1-2 seconds, and the hitch is not lifting. It is also constant in that it does it ever time I pull the lever to lift the hitch, again, after running the tiller for a period of time. Once the tractor seem to sit, and cool down, the hitch briefly worked for a period of a few minutes before starting the cycle over again. I did not change the rpm's during the screaching noise.

I really appreciate the feedback regarding the pump and rock shaft. I will be checking with the dealer tomorrow to get a status, and will bring those topics into the conversation. I understand what you mean about the cars. This is why I am coming to you guys before I hear back from the Dealer. I have heard "can't duplicate the problem" several times on my cars in the past.
Thanks again.

Thanks again

You could always video it the next time its making the noise and may be then they will know what to do.

Well, the Dealer could not duplicate the loud noise, or failure of the 3 pt hitch to lift. I have work to do so I am picking up the Tractor anyway. I will be prepared to video the next time. Dealer said they checked with Kubota and this apprarently is not a common issue they have had.

I'd blame the pressure relief valve.
