A local dealership has a used Lorenz 730 (7’) snowblower that they offered to me for $1000 so they don’t have to look at it all summer. I have a l3540, I know I’ll have to go slow, but it should handle it correct?

What are your thoughts, and input?

Maybe but, you'll be out there a lot blowing snow because if it gets deep, you won't be able to handle it...

I have a Lucknow 7.5 foot and in deep snow it makes my M9 (80+ pto) talk pretty hard.

Its all relative to speed. I ran a 7’ blower behind a 30 hp for years and it always got the job done. Then traded it and got a 6’ blower. I could go a bit faster but it still ended up taking the same amount of time and It always gets the job done too. I do have a hst transmission which makes varying speeds easier. With a clutched transmission Id stick with one just wide enough to clear the tires.

I have the HST, so there is no worry about riding the clutch. It seems like a pretty good price and just wanting a little reassurance that it’ll handle it.
