The manual throttle lever on my L2501 HST is really firm and a bit sticky. Is there a way to loosen it so that I can more easily adjust engine speed?

I lubricated every moving part on my L3000 throttle. After that I would rev to pto speed and as soon as I let go it would die down to about 1900 and then continue to drop every time I hit a bump. It took well over a year of use before enough dirt, dust, trash or whatever to collect and make it still enough to hold where I wanted it.

Be careful what you wish for.

a squirt of white grease will take care of a sticky throttle linkage for months, there's several points to spray. the grease works better than oil as it doesn't let the linkage move as easy afterwards.

Mine was giving me grief too, was sticky right at the injection pump,a dribble of lubricant and its been great since. It gummed up im thinking from lack of use. I use tractor often in summer so everything moves as it should.
