Shop mechanic at the dealership uses one on his gravel driveway. He noted it's the box blade for dummies. Simple and minimal skill to use relative to a box blade. Have a solid 3-6 blue rock layer over another 2-3 inches of normal gravel. Right now the surface has adequate crown and relatively smooth. But winter is approaching. Some days get in too much of a rush and too aggressive removing snow. Land plane would be nice to quickly touch up the driveway in the spring. Also, removing any weeds that somehow manage to thrive.I have not used one but I understand a land plane is really good for bringing gravel back to the surface above the dirt.
The LandPride 0548/60 has fixed depth scrapper blades. Too aggressive. Will probably end up with the 1548 and set the blades flush or slightly elevated for just light work.
