I'm looking at a 1989 M6030DT 4wd. with approx. 2000 hrs. Seems clean, runs well, shifts good. All working except some lights, etc... I've never owned a Kubota, so am just curious if there were any known issues I should be aware of or to stay away completely? Asking price is around $10,000. thanks a bunch for your imput.

My first Kubota was a B 7100 (74 model I think) that was beat all to pieces with 1300 hrs on a broke hr meter. Installed a new meter and used it about every day for the next 15 yrs. It had over 6000 hrs on it when I traded it in on a new Kubota. Even after that many yrs of use I still got almost as much out of it as I paid for it. My point of all this is don't be afraid of a Kubota. I felt leary of them at first because I had never heard anything about them. I've bought 4 now and unless the other brands really step up their game I will have Orange from now on.

If the tractor you are looking at has been maintained and the correct PM done chances are it will make you a fine tractor. If it was me and I bought it I would plan on doing a full service. Sure, it will be extra cost but the piece of mind would be worth it in the end. Just my opinion but I hope this helps.
