Looking at a 2008 B7800 with:
131 hours
R4 tires
FEL
Pat's easy hitch
3ph quick adjusters (in place of the stock threaded adjusters)
garaged
used for 3ph garden attachments-tiller, brush hog, plow, cultivator and seeder
bucket-like new, rarely used
Paint is in nice shape.

SERVICE:
Engine oil and filter may have been changed twice?

Hydro fluid service done at around 50 hours by owner. During this service the larger hydro filter was not changed
and the suction screen was not cleaned.

Questions:
-Should the hydro system be drained now to be able to install the new hydro filter and do the suction screen service?

-The tachometer (mechanical drive) seems to work correctly up to 2500 rpm's when it stay at the 2500 rpm reading
even when the rpm's are increased.
Not sure what this may reqire to correct?

Price:
-Nice condition, low hours...what would be a fair price to pay for this tractor?

My opinion is ALL services/filters, etc. would be done as soon as you get the tractor, including front axle. Then you have a baseline.

I'm bad at value, because I'm a cheapskate. I would check www.tractorhouse.com . Give you an idea what a dealer is trying to get out of one.

Just wild-ass guessing $8-10K-ish is a helluva good deal. Given it's hours/condition, might fetch a premium. Maybe $12-15K - more?.?.

Again - don't take my advice for value. I really am just a guessing cheapskate.:eek:

Seems like the B7800 was a pretty good machine.

As far as the Tachometer - get the parts diagram, will tell you how it's driven.
