Have a b1550 gear 4x and would like to put a fel on it. Can one use the mid mount mower with a fel on? What model of fel can I use? I've seen pictures with b1640a fel and recently on that had a la 300 on it. Finding one seems to be like finding hen's teeth. My Kubota dealer up here in Canada offered me an allied farmking fel for $7200 cnd. I can't justify spending that one a tractor that is worth less than that. I would need a sub frame, valving and loader? All the dealer up here wants to do is sell me a new one, which isn't happening. Any suggestions where to look for a used loader that would work?

Found one 50 miles away. 1640a coming off a b6200. Going to pick up and mount this weekend. Hope the mounting frame works on the 1550 and that the 54-b mower works with the loader mounted. If the mower doesn't work then will be looking for a 3pt finishing mower. Would a 5ft finishing mower be too much? The 54 worked really well. Guess will see.
