Have an old L295DT with 1200HD loader. The curler cylinders are shot and need replacing (rebuild not possible). I don't have a part number or don't know who to order from. Can anybody advise me. Thanks, lrfuller

Your best bet is to find a hydraulic shop in your area who can get you the cylinders and install them. Getting them from the deal will be on the expensive side.

Google "Custom Hydraulic Cylinders" and there are shops all over that provide cylinders.

You will need rod diameter, extended/compressed length, cylinder diameter and method of attachment at either end, pin diameter etc. You will also need to furnish thread type for hydraulic fittings and location of grease fittings.

MagKarl, Thanks for the reply. I knew 4361 was the part number for the curl cylinders on the 1200. Do you think it is the same on the 1200HD which is the FEL on my L295DT which is slightly bigger than your L245DT? According to cylinder rebuilding shop I took the leaking cylinders to, they would have to hone so much metal off that they thought new seals would leak. I know nothing about hydraulic cylinders; does this sound bogus to you? Thanks; I appreciate your help. lrfuller

I would try a $30 rebuild kit from your dealer before I sprung for new cylinders. It's an easy DIY job. No special tools needed for mine, but your HD version is new to me and could be different. Lots of folks reseal cylinders themselves without honing. Talk to some dealers in your area or call Messicks, they have a solid reputation.

The only thing that would (should) contact the cylinder ID are the piston seals. To have deep scoring on the inside, it would take debris (both cylinders?) or the piston metal working against the cylinder. That would probably require the seals to be gone? If these guys weren't trying to sell you new cylinders, I can't see any reason to talk themselves out of the rebuild job. If they offered cylinders, I'd be suspicious.

Some of the online cylinder guys simply manufacture any qty. of cylinders, from one up, to the spec. of what you have. In another lifetime I stocked chrome shaft and seamless tubing and we made them all day long. The cost is usually about half the OEM units. Some of these shops will take receipt of your cylinders, diagnose if a rebuild is possible and quote an exact match if it isn't.

I have the exact same loader the loader # is now L2773. The seal kit for the bucket cylinders are part# 70050-0029 and cost around 30 bucks at the Kubota dealer here in town. I have the complete parts list for the loader, if you need it just PM me
