I went to the dealer to buy the Kubota B2650 with cab Saturday. I went to drive it one last time and the loader controls did not work correctly. The right and left (curl/dump) function would dump, but we could not get it to curl. The salesman tried with no luck as well. He said he would get the service guy to look at it, but he was busy so we left.
I got a text from him a little later on saying that there was nothing wrong with it, we were just pushing it through the "float detent" to the right.

My issues with that answer:

1). I believe there are 2 detents to the right for 2 different dump speeds no "float detent".
2). That doesn't explain why we couldn't curl it (bringing it to the left).

Lift arm function worked fine and all hydraulic connections matched up color wise.

I'm not sure what to think. Any ideas?

Sometimes the quick couplers don't latch properly and have to be reconnected. I've had this happen to me a few times.

There is some confusion here, not sure what you or they are thinking. There are two detents, but one is all the way forward, and is for float when the bucket is on the ground. The other is all the way to the right, and I use for the hydraulic control of the snowblower chute. Otherwise right ( before the detent stop) is dump, and curl is left. If you get it stuck in the right detent position it wouldn't be able to curl until you pulled it out..???

The detent all the way to the right basically opens the port to rapidly dump. It allows the bucket (if that's what's attached to the loader) to gravity dump instead of a hydraulically powered dump.

The same position is also used for other front mounted implements.

My bet it the hydraulic couplers werent coupled properly. The same thing happened to my b2650 when i went to pick it up. The salesman was “showing” me how to hook them up but he apparently didn’t know too well himself as i had to steer him in the right direction.

Turns out two hydraulic hoses were switched around incorrectly. The colored plugs/caps were put on the hoses incorrectly.

Same happened to me once, first time I removed my backhoe.
