I have a L3301 and I was bush hogging the other day and all of a sudden, I spotted an oil trail. I stopped and looked under the tractor and could see all three of the oil ports, 2 on the filter bracket and 1 where the line goes into the transmission. There are no tell-tale signs of anything getting up there and hitting anything but something happened. I've seen several threads on different sites of this same thing happening but none of them finished up with any resolution to the problem.
This bracket along with the hydraulic filter bracket on the other side sits right out in the open where they are vulnerable to the elements. I can't believe any engineer would come up with an idea like this unless he has stock in the parts department.
I talked to my dealer, and he sent me 5 o rings. The problem with that is it takes 6. I tried replacing the 5 and picked out the best looking one I took out and now it leaks worse than it did before. The problem is it is almost impossible to get them off and replaced because the stiff steel lines are so ridged. Any ideas would be appreciated.
